About Me
Hi, I’m Naureen! Freelance photographer and journalist based in Brisbane, Australia.
Photography provides the opportunity to combine my longtime love for music and art with storytelling, and this craft is incredibly special to me. Every time I am under the stage, stood in front of powerful and talented performers, I have a mini pinch-me moment and can’t believe this is my job.
As a proud Pakistani-Filipina, I’m passionate about capturing diverse communities both on stage and behind the headlines. I’ve worked with artists including Esha Tewari, The Browns, Lime Cordiale, PJ Harvey, and many others both through freelance and with my publication, scenestr magazine, covering music and culture with a focus on authentic, thoughtful storytelling. Whether in the field or behind the lens, I produce a high quality of work that suits you and your style.
